Ealing Council has secured a substantial £1.46 million grant from the Greater London Authority to propel the project, which will be distributed over the next two financial years.

For Perivale, the park means easier access to beloved sites, including Perivale Park, via a proposed 13km trail for walkers and cyclists.

Why did the Ealing hipster bring a ladder to the bar?

Because he heard the drinks were on a higher level!

England football star Chloe Kelly has been awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours in recognition of her outstanding services to football.

Kelly grew up in Hanwell and attended Elthorne Park High School, has become one of the most celebrated figures in English football following her pivotal role in the Lionesses' recent successes on the international stage.

Kelly etched her name into sporting history when she scored the winning goal in England's dramatic UEFA Women's Euro 2022 final victory over Germany at Wembley, helping secure the nation's first major women's football title.

The MBE is the latest honour for the local sporting hero. Earlier this year, Kelly was granted the Freedom of the Borough of Ealing, the highest civic distinction awarded by Ealing Council, in recognition of her achievements and the pride she has brought to the borough.

The award highlights Kelly's contribution both on and off the pitch, inspiring a new generation of young footballers across Ealing and beyond.

Carers across Ealing were celebrated in a heartfelt event at Perceval House, uniting carers, local organisations, and council representatives for Carers Week 2026.

Organised by Ealing Carers Partnership and the Ealing Carers Hub, the gathering honoured the vital, often unseen work of unpaid carers who support family, friends, and neighbours every day.

With at least 24,000 local carers — and likely many more uncounted — the event underscored the immense value these individuals bring to the borough.

Councillor Paul Driscoll praised carers as “the backbone of our communities,” emphasizing their compassion and dedication.

For those needing support, the Bridgit Care app offers easy access to local advice and services through the Ealing Carers Hub, helping more residents receive the assistance they need.
