Featuring highlights from Ealing community events and music festivals |
Hanwell Carnival is set to make a vibrant return to Elthorne Park on Saturday, 20 June 2026, from noon to 6pm, after a one-year hiatus.
Established in 1898, this cherished event is among London's longest-running community celebrations, drawing over 25,000 attendees for a day filled with music, entertainment, and community spirit.
While the traditional street parade has been cancelled this year due to rising costs, the carnival promises an array of attractions.
Two stages will feature diverse performances: the Community Stage, curated by Westside Radio, will showcase local talents like the Ealing Street Dance Academy and the Ealing Rock Choir.
The Main Stage will host live acts including The Hanwell Ukulele Group, The Grim Face Marys, Those Dirty McGuffins, The Thrillers, Powerjam Bands, and Primary Scream.
Beyond music, attendees can enjoy a children's area, dog show, petting zoo, donkey rides, local food vendors, arts and crafts, and a funfair.
Over 30 local charities and organizations will participate, emphasizing the event's role in supporting community initiatives.
Organizers have expressed their excitement about the carnival's return, highlighting the community's enthusiastic support and the event's significance in fostering local unity.
Financial backing from The Charity of William Hobbayne, Ealing Council's Your Voice, Your Town initiative, and Heathrow Community Trust's Communities Together grant program has been instrumental in bringing the carnival back to life.
Residents are encouraged to attend and celebrate the rich tapestry of Ealing's community at this year's Hanwell Carnival.
