5 Thai Restaurants to Discover in Ealing
Curries, Street Food & Neighbourhood Favourites
Thai food in Ealing goes considerably further than Pad Thai and green curry. This time we're discovering five very different places — from a new Ealing arrival and a Thai mum's neighbourhood kitchen to street-food specialities, Thai cooking inside a traditional pub and one familiar name to anchor the journey.
Angrid Thai — Ealing Broadway
Angrid may have opened its Ealing branch in 2025, but the restaurant story goes back to the late 1990s, with its owners growing up in Thailand and an established sister restaurant in Oxford. The emphasis is on freshly prepared Thai food for dining in or taking away, and dishes can also be prepared using Angrid's specially made vegan sauce. A newer local name with considerably more experience behind it than its Ealing opening date suggests.
Butler's Thai — St Mary's Road
Butler's rewards anyone willing to venture beyond the familiar Thai standards. Try Khao Soi, a northern-style chicken curry noodle dish, or Moo Ping pork skewers with sticky rice. There's also slow-cooked Kha Moo pork leg, crispy pork with chilli and basil, and a rich lamb Massaman curry. It's the breadth of these less-obvious dishes that makes this established St Mary's Road restaurant particularly interesting for our discovery list.
Noi's Thai Kitchen — Hanwell
Noi describes herself as a Thai mum who loves cooking, and her business grew from preparing meals for local Ealing families and the community. Now serving from The Boston Bar in Hanwell, the menu includes a beautifully aromatic slow-cooked chicken Massaman, coconut-free Jungle Curry and Chu Chi Pla — crispy sea bass with thick red curry sauce, basil, coconut and lime leaves. A genuinely personal neighbourhood food story worth discovering.
The Forester — West Ealing
Here's an unusual combination: a Grade II listed Ealing pub dating from 1909 with its own Thai kitchen. Monday to Saturday you can order dishes such as Thai green curry, Massaman curry, Pad Kra Prow and Pad Thai, alongside starters including satay and fish cakes. Then on Sunday the kitchen switches to a traditional British carvery. It's a distinctly Ealing setting for a Thai meal and something rather different from a conventional restaurant experience.
Rosa's Thai Ealing — Haven Green
Rosa's is the established anchor rather than our under-the-radar discovery, but its Ealing restaurant provides an accessible introduction to Thai favourites. Alongside Pad Thai and green, red and Panang curries, look out for Pad Kra Prow with chilli and Thai basil or the stir-fried aubergine Pad Makhuea with yellow bean sauce, chilli and sweet basil. A familiar name that provides a useful counterpoint to the smaller businesses on our journey.
These aren't presented as the definitive five “best” Thai restaurants in Ealing. They're five places to discover, chosen because together they tell a much more interesting story about Thai food across the borough.
From northern-style curry noodles and slow-cooked Massaman to spicy Jungle Curry and Thai food served inside an Edwardian pub, there's plenty here to tempt you beyond your usual order.
And that's what Ealing Spotlight is about: helping you discover more of what's happening on your doorstep.
