Have an idea that could make your neighbourhood a better place? Residents, community groups, schools and businesses across the London Borough of Ealing are being invited to apply for funding to bring local projects to life.

A new round of the Your Voice Your Town programme offers opportunities to support young people, improve public spaces, strengthen community connections and develop practical skills.

Applications close at 1pm on Thursday 3 December 2026.

Local Ideas, Local Decisions

The programme is supported by Ealing Council, with dedicated Town Teams helping identify priorities and select projects in each of the borough's seven towns.

These teams bring together residents, community organisations, businesses and other local representatives.

Since the programme began last year, 77 projects have received funding.

Previous initiatives include a walking group helping Northolt residents make friends, a nature reserve in Greenford, environmental activities and support for Hanwell Carnival.

The latest funding round offers grants ranging from £150 to £15,000, depending on the scheme.

What Projects Are Being Supported?

Each town has identified priorities reflecting its community's needs.

  • Ealing: £120,000 for thriving high streets, neighbourhood improvements and activities that bring residents together.

  • Acton: £80,000 for youth activities, stronger community connections and environmental improvements.

  • Southall: £175,000 for projects improving young people's health, wellbeing, learning and opportunities.

  • Hanwell: £40,000 for greener neighbourhoods, revitalised spaces and community connections.

  • Greenford: £55,000 for activities supporting young people aged 11–18 and connections between generations.

  • Northolt: £55,000 for projects helping children and young people aged 4–18 develop skills and thrive.

  • Perivale: £16,000 for employment opportunities, practical skills and connections with local businesses.

These allocations are taken from the council's published town-by-town announcement. Their combined total is £541,000, which differs from the £486,000 headline figure. Applicants should consult the individual town funding pages for the applicable budgets.

Bringing Communities Together

The programme is designed to support ideas that respond to genuine local needs.

Projects might include after-school activities, community gardening, mentoring, environmental improvements or opportunities for residents to learn new skills.

Acton's Town Team has highlighted the potential for projects connecting established community volunteers with younger residents who bring different skills and perspectives.

The broader ambition is to encourage communities to develop practical solutions together, rather than relying entirely on centrally designed initiatives.
