Ealing Launches 25 Apprenticeships in 25 Days to Create New Career Opportunities |

Ealing Council and West London College are joining forces to encourage local employers to create 25 apprenticeship opportunities in just 25 days, helping residents gain valuable skills while supporting businesses across the borough.
The 25 Apprenticeships in 25 Days campaign, running from 4 to 28 November 2026, invites employers of all sizes to pledge an apprenticeship and invest in the next generation of local talent. The initiative is being delivered through the Ealing Borough Apprenticeship Scheme (EBAS) in partnership with West London College.
Opening Doors to EmploymentFor someone taking their first steps into employment, an apprenticeship can provide an important opportunity to earn a wage while gaining practical experience and working towards a recognised qualification.
The campaign aims to encourage businesses across Ealing, Acton, Southall, Hanwell, Greenford, Northolt and Perivale to consider how apprenticeships could support their recruitment needs. Employers do not need an established apprenticeship programme to participate. Businesses considering their first apprentice can receive guidance on training options, recruitment and available financial support.
The campaign also welcomes established organisations looking to develop existing staff or recruit new talent.
Financial Support for Local BusinessesOne of the campaign's main attractions is the potential availability of funding to cover up to 100% of apprenticeship training costs. This support is available through apprenticeship levy transfer arrangements, subject to eligibility and funding availability.
Participating employers can receive assistance from EBAS and West London College to identify suitable apprenticeship programmes, connect with training providers and recruit candidates.
Businesses making a pledge will also be offered complimentary bronze membership of EBAS, providing access to employer networking opportunities and information about workforce development.
The programme is particularly relevant to smaller businesses that may previously have considered apprenticeships too complicated or expensive to introduce.
Campaign Launch at Perceval HouseThe initiative will be highlighted at an EBAS Business Network Event on Wednesday 4 November, from 9am to 11am, at Perceval House, 14–16 Uxbridge Road, Ealing.
Employers attending can meet representatives from the apprenticeship scheme, explore training options and learn how to pledge an opportunity.
The campaign is seeking commitments from 25 employers, with the aim of creating new pathways into employment and skills development across the borough. Although the campaign is directed primarily at businesses, its longer-term beneficiaries will be residents who gain access to apprenticeship opportunities.
