Families looking for affordable ways to keep children entertained this summer can head to Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, where Sportropolis is transforming Town Square into a free destination for sport, play and outdoor fun.

Running throughout the school holidays until 4 September, the programme features a giant sandpit, football challenges, rugby coaching, sports activities and creative games, all designed to encourage children to stay active while enjoying time with family and friends.

One of the biggest attractions is Sportropolis Beach, a free beach-themed play area complete with a giant sandpit, sandcastle-building equipment and an oversized deckchair for family photos. Parents can relax while children enjoy a taste of the seaside in the middle of Ealing.

Every Saturday, the Saturday Sports Club offers a packed programme of free activities, including football challenges, martial arts tasters, team games, tennis-inspired activities and creative workshops suitable for a range of ages. No booking is required for most sessions, making it easy for families to drop in and join the fun.

Children can also take part in Family Rugby Fun with players from Ealing Trailfinders, learning new skills alongside professional men's and women's team members while meeting the club's mascot, Bella the Bear.
