Three inspiring community initiatives from Ealing have been recognised at the A2Dominion Community Awards 2026, celebrating the volunteers, organisations and local champions making a lasting difference across the borough.

 

The awards, presented at Mahaba Café in West Ealing, honoured individuals and groups who have strengthened their communities through volunteering, inclusion and support for local residents.

Among this year's winners were the volunteers behind Southall's Havelock Food Distribution Hub, recognised for their commitment to helping families facing financial hardship by providing essential food support. Their work continues to make a meaningful difference for households across the local community.

 

Also honoured was Sahar Badra, founder of Fit Steps for Ealing Sisters, who received the Community Health and Wellbeing Project of the Year award. The initiative began as a women's running group designed to improve health, confidence and wellbeing and has since grown into an inclusive community welcoming people of all abilities.

 

The host venue, Mahaba Café, was named Community Partner of the Year. Based in West Ealing, the café provides training and work experience for people with special educational needs, helping participants develop practical skills and confidence in a supportive environment.

A2Dominion said the awards recognise the remarkable people and organisations who go above and beyond to strengthen their neighbourhoods and support those around them. Across Ealing, this year's winners demonstrate how community spirit, kindness and determination continue to have a positive impact on local lives.
