A serious incident unfolded in Ealing Broadway on Saturday afternoon, leaving several pedestrians injured after a car collided with them outside a popular retail store.

 

Emergency services were swiftly dispatched to The Broadway, W5, at approximately 2:29 pm, following reports of a vehicle striking multiple individuals.

 

Five pedestrians sustained injuries during the collision.

 

Two received immediate treatment at the scene, while three others were transported to nearby hospitals.

 

Fortunately, all injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.

 

The driver involved failed to stop initially but was apprehended shortly thereafter in Grange Park.

 

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempted murder.

 

Authorities have stated that, while the investigation is ongoing, the incident is not currently being treated as terrorism-related.

 

Local leaders have expressed their concern and support for those affected.

 

One council member emphasized the need to enhance safety measures for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers in the area.

 

Another official praised the swift response of emergency services and the resilience of the community.

 

Residents and visitors are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information or relevant dashcam, mobile phone, or CCTV footage to come forward.
