Ealing Students Celebrate A-Level Success as Ealing Borough Beats London and National Results.

Students across the borough are celebrating after this year's A-level results put Ealing ahead of both the London and national averages.

Provisional figures show that 60.5% of A-level entries in Ealing achieved grades A–B*, compared with 59.6% across London and 55.5% nationally.

 

The figures, based on returns from the majority of the borough's secondary schools, also indicate an improvement on 2025. The proportion of A*–B grades has risen by three percentage points, while A*–A grades are up four percentage points.

 

A number of schools recorded particularly strong performances. St Benedict's School reported 53% of grades at A*–A and 82% at A*–B, while Twyford Church of England School recorded 47% at A*–A and 73% at A*–B.

 

Improvements in academic results were also reported at Islip Manor High School, Featherstone High School, William Perkin Church of England School, Elthorne Park High School and Villiers High School. Vocational results improved at several schools too, including Dormers Wells, Featherstone, Ellen Wilkinson and Greenford High.

Behind those statistics are young people across the borough preparing for their next chapter — whether that's university, an apprenticeship, further training or employment.

 

More A-level success around the borough:

Acton: Students at Ark Acton Academy have also been celebrating strong A-level and BTEC results, with pupils securing university places including at University College London. The results add both academic and vocational achievement to the wider positive picture across Ealing. 

 

Ealing: Notting Hill & Ealing High School reported that almost two-thirds of its A-level entries achieved A* or A. Of 75 students receiving results, 64% of entries were A–A and 90% A–B**, with students securing places at universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, Durham, Leeds, Newcastle and Bristol.

Greenford High School also achieved its best-ever post-16 results, with 33% of A-level grades at A*–A and 60% at A*–B. Students are progressing to universities including Oxford, Imperial, UCL and the London School of Economics.

 

Taken together, the results provide an encouraging snapshot of achievement across Ealing's sixth forms — not simply through headline grades, but through the range of destinations and opportunities now opening up for students across the borough.
